Ben Wooding

Director and General Manager - Red Badge Group

Ben Wooding is currently a Director and General Manager for Red Badge Group and has 11 years’ experience in the security industry working for two of the largest manned services security providers in New Zealand.

During that period Ben has directly led the operational and account management for various large security contracts across several sectors including: government, tertiary, councils, CCO’s, venues, stadia and large privately held organisations all across New Zealand.

Currently Ben leads a national team spread across 6 branches and is indirectly accountable for 35 managers, 200 permanent staff, 10-15 subcontractors and 2500 casual staff.

With a background in international rowing as an athlete and coach, Ben is passionate about developing high performing teams and believes there is plenty that SME’s could learn from high performance sport, specifically when dealing B2B, with staff or contractors and particularly in relation to achieving a common purpose and strength of ‘partnership’.
